MVSTracker

MVSTracker. Thanks to Ivan's hard work on the Z80 sound driver, the Neo Homebrew scene finally breaks ground on an essential missing element, MUSIC. In the style of the old Amiga MOD trackers, MVSTracker will allow the Neo homebrew developers create FM music sequences.

Along with the MVSTracker, I've assembled over 200 instruments which are available in the Instrument Pack. The FM values used in these instruments are from someone else's website. I've sent an email making sure it was ok to offer them. If not, I will remove the instrument pack. So, to the musicians out there, if you make some instruments, why not post the values so that we can put together more packs.

As for using MVSTracker, well, I don't have much experience in "tracking" so you're kinda on your own for now. If we can get a musician to put a couple scores together, I will release a sound demo with the dev when everything is ready.

8/28/2005 Update
Ivan has updated MVSTracker to fix a bug reported by blaster (thanks!) and has also sent me the source code for release. If you enhance MVSTracker in any way, please let me know so that I can keep it updated here for everyone else to use. A great deal of time has been spent on this utility, so let's improve it and keep it available for everyone!

MVSTracker-Src - The source code to MVS Tracker
modplay-z80src.zip - The Z80 sound driver source code
